Traditional Refuge | Rediscovering the Piedmontese Farmhouse
2020
ITALY
RESIDENTIAL
The project unfolds as a new construction that reinterprets the distinctive features of the Piedmontese farmhouse, blending traditional architecture with a contemporary vision of living. The structure retains the impressive scale typical of these historic residences, featuring spacious volumes and generous proportions, set within a lush green context. The use of classic materials such as stone, combined with a wooden roof with tiles, faithfully evokes the rural aesthetic while maintaining a refined elegance. Characteristic architectural elements, such as towers and external staircases, emphasize the complex articulation of the villa, which stands out not only for its size but also for the thoughtful distribution of spaces designed for harmonious indoor and outdoor use. The lot, characterized by expansive gardens, surrounds and frames the building, creating a constant dialogue between architecture and landscape, balancing tradition and modernity.
